Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis to develop a rapid and simple automated computerized system to analyze the percentage of soil particle Which could be used as a tool for evaluating soil quality for better agriculture research. To obtain the soil result we are using Arduino microcontroller device, LDR sensors, Red Laser lights, traditional hydrometer, electronics equipment, intelligent optimization technique and MATLAB software,. We developed an system for determining the particle percentages of sand and silt values on a digital interface without the use of conventional method. Soil texture, the overall textural defined by relative proportions of sand, silt, and clay in soil. We take the limited amount of soil put into the hydrometer than we put water and mixed it well to differentiate the soil particle. When the soil particles move in the water with different speed due to their density differences. We start out setup and received the signal from sensors and transmit to computer screen. The biggest particle among the others in terms of volume in soil is mainly known as sand and silt. To take the measurement of sand and silt in soil we used Arduino device and other instruments. We made this experiment for almost one and half hour. Between the experiment time's sensor detect the soil particle and give you data in the numeric form on your system screen. After collecting all the data through these process, we used intelligent optimization technique in MATLAB environment to compute soil particle which give the best result. In this thesis, the experimental results showed that, determination of proportion of sand and silt in a soil data using on computer aided estimation can be useful for agriculture research.
