The EU Constitution which includes provisions from fundamental rightsand freedoms to social rights has been prepared by being inspired from severalinternational documents and has a binding character. That is why in this thesisby analyzing the provisions brought by the Constitution about sovereignty,citizenship, human rights, religion and secularism, minorities and social rights;the effects of these provisions on member states has been examined and theprobable effects on Turkey has been tried to be evaluated.Turkey is now a candidate country and aims to be a full member of EU.Within this framework, the Constitutional amendments that are required to bedone by Turkey to be in compliance with the changes brought by the EUConstitution and the probable implications of these amendments on Turkey hasbeen tried to be examined.Key World: 1) European Union 2) EU Constitution 3) EC Laws4) International Law 5) Sovereignty
