The regulation of Turkish labor laws within the framework of European Union progress reports

European Union is a social union. European Union Progress Reports carries so much importance for Turkey?s membership to the Union. European Union interprets Turkey?s change and improvement in various fields with Progress Repots. Since year 1997, Reports are issued for Turkey. The objective of these Reports are to explain the deficiencies and changes that needs to be done towards previously stated criteria. Accordingly , the compatibility of member country to the Union and the proximity to membership are reviewed.The most important issue that inspected is Turkish Labor Laws in European Union Progress Reports. Turkey did and will continue to do changes in laws in order to constitute laws that fits to nowadays circumstances and to get closer to European Union membership. within the framework of the conformity process to the European Union, Turkey is liabled to make compatible Turkey?s Labor Laws to Union?s Laws . Turkish Labor Laws is more inspected towards International Labor Organization?s standards,in Reports. Here ,the important issue is to apply the approved Conventions successfully. Turkey approved many ILO Conventions about working life. Within the conformity process to the European Union, European Union Directives also carries importance. It?s a requirement in terms of membership to the European Union to accommodate Turkish Labor Laws to the Directives.Turkey did many reforms and changes in order to accomodate its labor Laws to nowadays circumstances and to be a member of European Union. In this sense, Turkey continues its efforts with a new Labor Law , legislations issued towards new Law and new laws for the other fields that connected to the working life for the accommodation.
