An evaluation on the adaptation process of the immigrations living Aydın's Çeştepe and Tepecik

Immigration is an event as old as human history. It had existed in the life of communities in every term. So it had affected and has been affecting cultures of societies. Because immigration movements have been importantly changing social scructure of the societies and helping to be built again.When the immigrants decided to migrate they have began to look for new suitable places for themselves.The majority of immigrant have been constituted new settlement areas around city centres. As immigration movements have affected structure of societies, social integration problem has appeared. When the communiities belonging to different cultures come together as a result of immigration, they create a new culture by integrating. If the level of social integration is high, new created culture has been built very strongly.Urbanization is one of the most important processes in the development of civilization. This process includes not only the population accumulation, but also the economic, social and political conversion. In countries such as Turkey, urbanization also expresses the change within the cause-effect relationship. The rural resources not being sufficient enough in the socio-economic and psychological aspects also increase the process of twis change.In this research, it was aimed to find out the level of conscious of urban belonging on rural settlers, who reside at the avenue of Cestepe and Tepecik located in Aydın, and to learn impact of economic, demographic, and social factors on conscious of urban belonging. Variables such as age, gender, marriage status, profession, education, income level and duration of stay in urban areas and their influence on conscious of urban belonging were studied. Additionally, a survey which has eighty-nine questions was conducted face to face with the group of 250 people who resides at avenue Cestepe and Tepecik.
