Abstract (EN)

In this study, the weldability of rolled AZ31B magnesium sheets has been investigated by friction stir welding. Samples have been welded at different welding parameters such as the 1500, 2300 rpm rotational speeds and 100,160 and 190 mm/min transverse speeds. In the experiment shown that the temperatures of between of the friction stir welding shoulder and materials affect mechanical and microstructure properties. In the recrystallization zone temperature has been increased the increase of rotational speed. According to these results, the hardness of recrystallization zone has beenmeasured higher than base material. The microstructure of recrystallization zone, because of recrystallization has been thinner and homogenous than base material. At this results of stress strength test has been detected 83% compared with that of base material. As a result of the experiments, the best connection was obtained at weld specimens with triangular profiled tip, 1500 rpm and 160 mm / min.
