Abstract (EN)
In the study, the AZ63 magnesium and AA6063 aluminum material pair was joined via continuous drive friction welding technique at different rpm values (1500-1600-1700 rev/min), different friction pressure (20-30-40 MPa), different upsetting pressure (40-60-80 MPa), fixed friction time (6 sec) and fixed upsetting time (4 sec). Tensile test was applied to the welded joints obtained. Microhardness measurements were made in Vickers scale under a load of 50 g. Microstructure changes in the joint zone of post-welding production parameters were investigated by optical microscope and EDS analyses. Radiographic examination of welded joints was performed. After the examinations, it was shown that the rpm values selected to join AZ63 magnesium and AA6063 aluminum alloys (1500-1600-1700 rev/min) remained generally insufficient to join these two base materials.
