Abstract (EN)
Material Requirements Planning, Inventory Maintenance systems include all the planned and unplanned activities in order to raise the activities of the existing system to an acceptable level or to maintain it at such a level in manufacturing and service systems. To perform these activities maintenance resources and materials are required. It is important maintenance materials and their spare parts to be available when they are needed to continue manufacturing systems activities. On the other hand it is not required to keep stock of maintenance materials at a high level because of stock costs. Maintenance systems perform two kinds of maintenance activities; planned and breakdown maintenance. In planned maintenance it is known when the maintenance activities will be done, but in breakdown maintenance the time of the activity can not be predicted. Inventory control of maintenance materials are usually based on the reorder point system. Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is a process that is usually used for manufacturing planning aims. In this study an MRP process in maintenance materials planning is introduced that is based on preventive maintenance schedule and breakdown maintenance statistics. A comparison of this system and the traditional reorder point system is also given. Keywords: Maintenance, Material Management.
