Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the CFD and thermal analysis of the wheel region of a currently produced tactical wheeled armored military vehicle in our country, along with the existing rim and rim protection cover, has been conducted. The analysis includes an evaluation of the impact of the analysis results on the dissipation of high temperatures occurring at the brake disc, calipers, and wheel hub due to the used covers. The assessments have been supported by thermal camera images and temperature measurements obtained from tests conducted with the vehicle. Additionally, a ballistic collision analysis of the existing cover aiming to protect the wheel hub with the central tire inflation system in the wheel hubs has been performed, and the results have been shared.
