Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, economic and econometric analysis of broiler production of Balıkesir, Bolu and Sakarya Province which is the first of three centers in terms of production volume in our country, was evaluated. The main material of the study related with production datas which contains 125 broiler enterprises of the 2012-2013 period (one year) from these the provinces analyzed by stratified random sampling method. In economic analysis, annual results of enterprises profitability and productivity obtained by the questionnaire evaluated. Multiple regression models were established for estimation of direction and quantity of relationship between variables and LW profit (Y) in econometric analysis. Enterprises were scaled according to their capacities as small (1-10 000), medium (10 001-30 000) and large (30 001 and over). Technique results related with production for all enterprises were examined, mortality rate 6,16%; the average LW 2,434 kg; the average fattening period 42,33 day; the average fattening circle 5,28 units/year; FCR 1,7983 kg; capacity uilization 99.56% was calculated. It was calculated as variable cost 93,84% and fixed cost 3,25% of total production costs in all enterprises during the analyzed period. Feed cost (67,44%) is the first in the production costs, chick cost (13,81%), energy (4,59%), other (3,69%), general administrative (2,91%), veterinary expenditure (1,58%), maintenance-repair (1,41%), labor (1,25%), litter (1,16%), cleaning-disinfection (0,90%), embarkation (0,68%) and depreciation (0,59%). 1 kg LW cost was calculated as 2,47 TL and financial profitability was found 2,03. Partial feed productivity, partial labor productivity and European efficiency factor were determined, 0,6179 kg; 1 133,35 kg and 312,27, respectively. According to estimated regression equation, it was found 1% increase of kg LW per broiler, feed, labor, veterinary expenditure, energy, other and building + general administrative costs that reduced kg LW profit, 1,022%; 1,010%; 0,995%; 1,089%; 1,001%; 1;016% and 0,994% rates, respectively. On the other hand 1% increases in sales price in kg LW that increases kg LW profit 1,012% rate. As a result; we can say that there is no significant difference between enterprises as scales and research centers on production techniques performance, scale size is important in terms of economic performance, according to econometric analysis there is similar relationship between variables on enterprise scale and research centers.
