Abstract (EN)

The fortune- telling is seen as a kind of goodness that God has given, although he did not make any sense in the early and middle ages. The concept of wealth handled by Adam Smith; has been taken as a comprehensive and pioneered the next thinkers. These thinkers criticized Smith's sense of wealth and put forward new ideas. Those who developed different ideas from Adam Smith in Western society saw wealth as a necessary material asset that benefits man. Besides, things that are scarce and contain value are considered as wealth. For example, taboos, sculptures, musicals, doctors material-spiritual values are considered wealth. In general, things that give happines to people, benefits are considered wealth, and wealth is considered good. The fortune that does not provide benefit and dooes not give provide happiness is evaluated as bad.In the near- term ottoman society, wealth can be saved, exchanged, people's needs arecounted as fortune. They saw the sea, land, air as a source of wealth. From the thinkers of the Republican period, Ülgener stated that once the wealth is used, it will not be fulfilled again and that the property and wealth are merely tossing air. Sabahattin Zaim believes that without labor, he will not have a wealth. He gave importance to labor by saying that every man should concerntrate on his work by working in his own field, and he connected the wealth to the cultivation of beautiful people.
