Comparing some characteristics of the women volleyball players and women wrestlers

The aim of this research is to compare and evaluate the levels of aggressiveness and anxiety of the women volleyball players playing in 2006 ? 2007?s first league of Turkey and women wrestlers participating in Turkey?s championship. The inventory of aggressiveness developed by İpek İlter Kiper was used to measure the sorts of aggressiveness of individuals. Spielberger?s continual anxiety inventory was used to determine the level of continual anxiety of the individuals. Totally, 148 sportsmen 37 of who are the women wrestlers participating in Turkey?s championship and 111 of who are the women volleyball players playing in the first volleyball league of Turkey participated in the research. It was applied to single pearson moment and independence T test techniques among groups for each low test points of the datum got in the analyses of this work. The analyses of the datum were realized in SPSS for Windows 11.0 pocket program. Upon looking at the relationships among the women volleyball players and the women wrestlers? aggressiveness sorts, it was determined a statically expressive difference among destructive aggressiveness, passive aggressiveness and general aggressiveness. It is obviously seen that there is no difference in the results either one day before the match or just before the match when comparing the aggressiveness levels v of the women volleyball players and the women wrestlers. When we compare them just after the match, it is seen an expressive difference. When it is compared one day before the match and after the match, it is found out an expressive difference. It is discovered an expressive difference when it is compared just before the match and after the match, as well. (p<0.05). It is obviously seen that there is no difference in the results either one day before the match or just before the match when comparing the anxiety levels of the women volleyball players and the women wrestlers.
