Abstract (EN)
This study, which aimed to determine quantitative seedling characteristics that are important in terms of seedling production techniques, was carried out on two-year-old bare-rooted Anatolian Black Pine (Pinus nigra Arnold. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe) seedlings produced from seeds collected from four different seed provenances in Denizli Forest Nursery Directorate. It was aimed to determine quantitative differences among provenances and produce knowledge for using suitable provenances in practice. In this context, important quantitative characters such as seedling height, root collar diameter, last year shoot length, and root length were measured in triplicate within the framework of the research. Then, obtained raw data were statistically evaluated using variance analysis (ANOVA) and Duncan Range Test. Accordingly, the mean seedling height varied between 15.2-38.7 cm, the mean root collar diameter between 5.3-7.8 mm, the mean last year shoot length between 1.2-3.5 cm, and the mean root length between 15,3-25,6 cm in two-year-old black pine seedlings. As a result of the statistical analysis, the Denizli-İnceler provenance showed the best growth performance in terms of all quantitative characters, while the Uşak-Çatak provenance showed the lowest growth performance.
