Abstract (EN)
Monilia fructigena is a fungal plant pathogen harvested in apples and forming post-harvest disease. In this study, antifungal activities of methanol and n-hexane extracts from 9 different plant species (Aesculus hippocastanum L., Nerium oleander L., Vitex agnus-castus L., Quercus aucheri L., Arbutus unedo L., Ricinus communis L., Citrus aurantium L., Salix babylonica L., Polygonum cognatum Meissn) under in vitro and in vivo conditions have been investigated against M. fructigena. Activities of extracts were determined using agar petri method in activity studies. Doses of 0.5, 1, 2 and 5 mg/mL were used against the test pathogen of extracts. Mycelium growth, mycelium development inhibitions, lethal doses of the pathogen against extracts were determined. In vivo studies, lesion growth on apple fruit was measured. Varying rates of effects have been observed in the doses used of extracts against the M. fructigena pathogen. N-hexan extracts of plants have been found to be more effective than methanol extracts. The highest mycelium development inhibitions were observed in horse chestnut n-hexane (83%) and methanol (79%) extracts. According to these results, substances with natural antifungal effect are among the products of choice due to their nature-friendly, non-residue problem content.
