vTHE SYNTHESIS OF SOME DISPERSE AZO DYES,INVESTIGATION OF THEIR ABSORPTION SPECTRA ANDFASTNESS PROPERTIES(Ph. D. Thesis)Fatma NURALINGAZİ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJune 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, a series of hetarylazo dyes were prepared by coupling an enoliccomponent, 1-phenyl-3-amino-2-pyrazoline-5-on with some 4-substituaedphenyl diazonium salts. Also acetilated series were prepared. All the productswere identified by spectroscopic methods and elemental analysis. The effects ofsolvents, substituents, pH, temperature and concentration on the absorptionspectra of the dyes were investigated. Absorption maxima shifts were observedby pH changes of the medıum. Fastness properties of polyester fibers dyed withthese compounds were tested according to ISO standarts and unacetilated dyesproperties were better.Science Code : 201.1.112Key Words : Disperse azo dyes, Pyrazolone dyes, Solvent effects,Substituent effects, Azo-hydrazone tautomerism,Fastness propertiePage Number : 96Advisor : Prof. Dr. Nermin ERTAN
