Abstract (EN)
In this study all synthesized compounds that thirteen heterocyclic and aromatic thiosemicarbazones and two thiosemicarbazide are original. Isothiocyanate derivatives were treated with hydrazine hydrate in appropriate solvent medium and thiosemicarbazide derivatives were obtained. Thiosemicarbazide derivatives reacted with heterocyclic aldehyde and p-substituted benzaldehyde and thiosemicarbazone derivatives were obtained.All reactions were monitored by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) Structures of synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses (C,H,N,S), UV, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies. The antibacterial activities of synthesized compounds were studied against Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis and Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli by using microdilution method and their minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) were detected.Keywords: Thiosemicarbazone, thiosemicarbazide, isothiocynate, antibacterial activity
