Abstract (EN)
In this study, Hofmann-type M(L)2Ni(CN)4.G (M=Cd or Co; L=cycloheptylamine or cyclooctylamine; G=benzene, 1,2-dichorobenzene, 1,3-dichorobenzene, m-xylene, o-xylene, /»-xylene, naphthalene, toluene) clathrates have been obtained for the first time. The infrared spectra of all these compounds have been recorded between 4000-400 cm'1 region and from these spectra the vibrational modes of ligand molecules, Ni(CN)4 unit and guest molecules have been assigned. This study pointed out that, 1. cycloheptylamine and cyclooctylamine molecules are coordinated to M metal atom to form the three dimensional polimeric structure, 2. The structures of these compounds were found to be similar to those of Hofmann-type inclusion compounds. 3. In clathrates, guest molecules were trapped in the cavities. Keywords :Hofmann-type clathrates, benzene, 1,2-dichorobenzene, 1,3-dichorobenzene, »»-xylene, o-xylene, O-xylene, naphthalene, toluene, IR spectroscopy.
