Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out in Kahramanmaraş ecological conditions between 2016-2018. Pistachio (Pistacia vera), Walnut (Junglans regia), White mulberry (Morus alba), Cherry (Prunus avium), Mahlep (Prunus mahaleb) and Peach's (Prunus persica) root cuttings were used as rootstocks and scions were taken from the same species and genotypes in the study. Grafting successes of the graft-union of the investigated fruit species were determined and at the same time the course of the graft-union between rootstock and scion was determined anatomically and histologically under microscope. In all grafting graft-unions except peach, the connection between rootstock and scion was established without any problem. Necrotic layers occured all graft-union zones, but no negative effects seen on the union of the grafting. It is seen that all of the samples which were obtained remain necrotic layers and fragmentation in graft-unions in the late period. It was observed that all the species studied did not develop adventitious shoots in root cuttings and they formed crown like rootstocks or clone rootstocks in other species except Pistachio and there was no time deviation in fruit set periods. The use of root cuttings in grafting saves a lot of time, labor, production materials and production areas.
