On the exact solutions of some nonlinear partial differential equations

In the first chapter of this thesis consisting of four chapters, the methods used forfinding the exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations were given and then a literaturesummary was presented.In the second chapter, some basic definitions and concepts about ordinary differentialequations, partial differential equations, evaluation equations and Jacobi eliptic functionswere presented to allow an easier understanding of the following chapters. In thethird chapter, two different versions of Jacobi eliptic function method were introducedand three model problems were used to see the application of the method to nonlinearevaluation equations.In the fourth chapter, generalized Jacobi eliptic function method which allows toobtainmore numerous exact solutions from the Jacobi eliptic functionmethods introducedin the third chapter. The method was applied to generalized KdV equation and K(m,1)equation.
