Abstract (EN)

TThe glazes used in ceramic tiles not only protect the products from external influences, but also enrich them visually, allowing us to create the desired colors and textures. According to the recipes used, glazes have different properties and have different performance values. These features can also show visual properties such as matte, glossy, opaque, and non-slip properties that provide safety. Newly developed glazes can also be produced from synthetic amorphous alkali silicate-based materials, and this new development is of great importance in terms of both ease of production and product improvements. In some cases, unpredictable or undesirable colors may occur as a result of the interaction between the glaze and pigments after firing in glazes used for visual enrichment. This undesirable situation can cause both quality losses and economic losses. These situations can be corrected by causing more dye oxide to be used against undesirable colors. The aim of this study is to examine the desired or undesirable color formations without affecting the performance of the products. By considering them in terms of pigment-glaze interactions and by preparing appropriate compositions, adding various oxides to the amorphous alkali silicate-based materials that meet the structure, property and performance criteria, without disturbing their thermal behavior, they change the matte surface properties from morphology instead of crystal. matt glazes are obtained. The desired color spaces were obtained by adding zinc oxide and calcium oxide to the amorphous alkali silicate materials with different mole ratios used in the studies. The surfaces with the obtained color spaces created a matte surface from the glazes used as standard. The opacity of the formed surfaces was obtained from morphology rather than crystal formation. In addition, it has passed the chemical resistance and staining resistance tests in accordance with TS EN 10545 standards for the usability of glazes. It has been observed that the glazes obtained have the property of slip resistance as well as color changes.
