Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, approximate solutions of some particular types of second order linear and nonlinear boundary or initial value problems have been investigated and the method have been used namely was Differential Transformation Method. Linear and nonlinear differential equations can be transformed to algebraic equations by using differential transformation method. This algebraic equations can be solved easily with some simple operations.Furthermore, in this thesis, as initial value problem Van Der Pol equation(ossilator) which is a second order nonlinear equation has been examined as well. For different paramaters and initial conditions, approximate solutions have been obtained again by the Differential Transformation Methods. The results have been illustrated by the help of tables and graphics. For appoximate calculations error analysis has been done as well.Key Words : Differential transformation method, Van der Pol equation, error analysis
