Some potato (Solunum tuberosum L.) breeding lines determination of phenological, morphological and technological features

This study was carried out in 2021 in Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Ayhan Şahenk Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Research and Application Land, in order to determine the phenological, morphological and technological characteristics of the selected genotypes in the main product conditions and to create identity cards for the genotypes within the scope of the breeding program initiated to develop potato varieties. It was established and carried out according to the experimental design. In the experiment, 15 different genotypes (MEÇ1407.05, MEÇ1407.17, MEÇ1406.07, MEÇ1407.08, MEÇ1301.20, MEÇ1302.20, MEÇ1302.05, MEÇ1305.05, MEÇ1409.09, MEÇ1411.06 and MEÇ1302.18) and 4 standard varieties (Alegria, Doruk, Ayaz and L. Olympia) were used. As a result of the study, average tuber yield values varied between 2780 kg/da (MEÇ1407.08) and 5474 kg/da (MEÇ1407.05); The trial average was 3652,9 kg/da and the average of standard varieties was 3494,8 kg/da. Tuber yield in standard varieties varied between 1611,8 kg/da (L. Olympia) and 4715,8 kg/da (Ayaz) and the highest tuber yield was obtained from Ayaz variety. It was concluded that MEÇ1407.05, MEÇ1302.20, Ayaz and Alegria genotypes, which showed superior performance in terms of tuber yield, would be suitable genotypes for the region.
