Abstract (EN)

Alkaline phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.1) is a phospho-monoesterase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate groups at alkaline pH. This enzyme is widely distributed in cell membranes, plasma membranes, and body fluids and plays a role in processes such as phosphate metabolism, cell growth, and mineralization. Pesticides are various chemicals used to increase the efficiency of agricultural production by effectively controlling harmful organisms. The widespread use of pesticides in the agricultural sector and excessive and unnecessary use of these substances can lead to many negative effects on the environment, ecosystem balance, and human health. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the effects of pesticides well and to take the necessary precautions in the use of pesticides. In this study, the effects of 10 different pesticides on intestinal alkaline phosphatase enzymes at various doses were analyzed. At the end of the analysis, IC50 values of pesticides on the enzyme were determined and it was determined that Prochloraz (IC50 = 56,79 µM) showed the highest inhibitory effect and Amitraz (IC50 = 238,46 µM) showed the lowest inhibitory effect. According to the study results, it was seen that pesticides showed a low inhibitory effect compared to Levamisole, a known inhibitor of alkaline phosphatase.
