Abstract (EN)
In this work, the Algol type binaries have selected from the Hipparcos Catalogue (1997) without any parallax limitations. These stars were then identified in the Hipparcos Catalogue (Perryman vd., 1997) and their astrometric data (parallaxes, proper motins, positions and their errors, spectral types, periods, magnitudes and colours) were taken from the Hipparcos Catalogue. Radial velocities of these stars were taken from literature. The Algol systems were divided into sub-groups according to relative parallax error and according to spectral types. The mean space motion components (u, v, w), velocity dispersions (?u, ?v, ?w), positions (x, y, z) and ages were calculated for each sub-groupsFor ?? / ? < 0.500, the mean space motions (u, v, w) = (-11.6 ± 1.7, -13.2 ± 1.3, -7.3 ± 1.0), velocity dispersions (?u, ?v, ?w) = (26.6 ± 2.4, 20.8 ± 1.8, 15.3 ± 1.4) and age t = 1.83 Gyear were calculated. The kinematic properties and ages of these groups were discussed. The results were compared with previous studies, including other types of binary star objects.Key words:Algol binary systems ? kinematic ? radial velocities ? age
