Investigation of some substituted benzinidenilin derivates by salmonella mutagenicity test

Prof. Dr. Filiz SUSUZ2005, 86 pagesIn this study, the mutagenic effects of these 8 Benzinidenilinderivatives were investigated by Ames Salmonella/Microsome test in theabsence and presence of metabolic activation. Salmonella typhimurium TA 98and TA 100 strains were used in experiments. TA 98 is designed forframeshift mutagens, TA 100 is designed for base-pair mutagens.Dose-dependent increases were observed in the number of organizmand considered as a weak mutagenicity experiments. Significant differenciesbetween experimental and solvent control groups were considered as positiveresults.Structure-activity relationships were discussed for the compoundsconsidered as mutagens and weak mutagens.Keywords: Ames Test, Mutagenicity, Benzinidenilin, Salmonellatyphimurium, Metabolic Activation.ii
