Abstract (EN)
Supervisor: Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmut GÜR 1,3,4-thiadiazole compounds are of great interest due to their antibacterial properties. Thus, in this thesis study, some novel N-substituted-phenyl-1,3,4-thiazol-2-amine derivatives have been obtained through the cyclisation reaction of 2-phenylbutyric acid and N-substituted-phenylthiosemicarbazide derivatives. Structural analyzes of these compounds were carried out by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. In the structural analysis, especially the peaks of the group >C=O lost and the absorption of the -N(H)- functional group was observed. Furthermore, Antibacterial activities against the bacteria of gram negative (Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhimurium, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella kentucky, Escherichia coli) and gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus durans) against Candida albicans fungus, antifungal activity experiments were carried out using disk diffusion method.
