Abstract (EN)
In present study, some novel 5-(benzylthio)-1-alkyl(aryl)-1H-tetrazole and 5-(benzylthio)-2-alkyl(aryl)-2H-tetrazole derivative compounds were synthesized. In the first part of the study, benzyl bromide used as a starting material was reacted with potassium thiocyanate and benzyl thiocyanate was obtained. Synthesized benzyl thiocyanate compound was converted into thio tetrazole through the ?CN group with a convenient method using triethylammonium chloride and sodium azide. After this second part of the study, 5-(benzylthio)-1-alkyl(aryl)-1H-tetrazole and 5-(benzylthio)-2-alkyl(aryl)-2H-tetrazole derivative compounds were synthesized via alkylation of 5-(benzylthio)-1H-tetrazole compound using various alkyl and aryl halides. The structures of synthesized compounds were elucidated by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-APT NMR, LC-MS spectroscopic methods. At the end of the study antimicrobial activities and DNA interactions of this compounds were investigated.
