Abstract (EN)
In this study, some morpho-genetic parameters were investigated in 5 different white birch (Betula verrucosa Ehrh.) provenances at the end of 8th year in Erzurum Forest Nursery Directorate. The mean total height, mean height breast diameter and mean last year shoot length variables of birch provenances were determined. Accordingly, the mean of height growth value of birch origins at the end of the 8th year was 2.97-3.50 m, mean height breast diameter growth of 5.15-6.40 cm and mean last year shoot length growth ranged between 34.63-43.12 cm changed. According to the variance analysis (ANOVA) and Duncan Range Test results applied to the mean values of these three quantitative characters, Erzurum-Aşkale and Erzurum-Tekman provenances showed the best growth performances in terms of all three morpho-genetic parameters values.
