Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to determine and analyze physical education and sports teachers' evaluation levels of school sports. In this regard, it is aimed to determine the strengths and weaknesses of teachers in the evaluation processes and to identify potential improvement areas. The population of this research consists of a total of 458 physical education and sports teachers, including 197 female and 261 male teachers, working in public schools in the center and certain districts of Balıkesir province in the 2023-2024 academic period. A personal information form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool, and the school sports evaluation scale: validity and reliability study scale prepared by Oğuzhan Gül, Aydoğan Soygüden and Yalçın Karagöz was used to examine the school sports evaluation levels of the teachers participating in the research. The personal information form includes gender, professional years, age, educational status and type of school. The school sports evaluation scale includes the "Development" and "Benefit" sub-dimensions. In the research findings, a significant difference was detected in gender and professional year variables. This difference arises from male individuals in the development and benefit sub-dimensions of the gender variable, and from physical education and sports teachers who have been working for 11-15 years in the development and benefit sub-dimensions of the professional year variable.
