Examining the relationship between organizational attractiveness and organizational synergy levels of physical education ve sports teachers

This research was conducted to examine the relationship between the organizational attraction and organizational synergy levels of physical education and sports teachers working in the centers and districts of Bingöl Provincial Directorate of National Education. The universe of the research consists of physical education and sports teachers working in the schools in the center and districts of Bingöl Provincial Directorate. A total of 154 teacher, including 18 females and 136 males, voluntarily participated in the study. A questionnaire method was used as the data collection tool in our research. The questionnaire consists of three sections and a total of 51 items. The first section includes 10 statements related to demographic variables. The second section uses the "Organizational Attractiveness Scale," consisting of 11 statements, and the third section uses the "Organizational Synergy Scale," consisting of 29 statements. The reliability analyses of the scales were conducted by calculating Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient. Demographic information and descriptive statistics, including arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage distributions, were provided to gain insights into demographic characteristics and other group-related questions. To determine the relationship between teachers' perceptions of organizational attractiveness and organizational synergy dimensions, a correlation (Pearson) test was applied. Initially, skewness and kurtosis tests were examined to detect the relationship between perceptions of organizational attractiveness and organizational synergy sub-dimensions with some demographic variables. Based on the test results, independent sample t-tests were conducted to compare independent binary groups in the analysis of data that met the normality conditions, while Mann Whitney-U tests were used for data that did not meet normality conditions. Furthermore, regression analysis was utilized to comprehensively examine relationships between variables. Results were evaluated at a significance level of p < 0.05 with a 95% confidence interval. IBM SPSS Statistics 22 package program was used for data analysis. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the level of attractiveness perceived by physical education and sports teachers in their organizations is significantly related to the synergy existing within the organization. Furthermore, the levels of interpersonal "interaction and appreciation," "integration," "strategy," and "updating and strengthening" within the organization also positively influence the attractiveness level of the organization to the same extent. It can be said that this indirectly increases individuals' levels of organizational commitment, job performance, job motivation, etc.
