An analysis about Benjamin Britten's work which named Six Metamorphoses

The Roman Poet Publius Ovidius Naso (B.C. 43-A.C.17) in the period of Roman Emperor Augustus (B.C.63?A.C.14) to the peace, shortly writes his written work of ?Metamorphoses? which includes long poem of fifteen books. This written work includes the stories connected to eachother with mythologic and legendary stories is one of the main work reaching today. This work which tells us the transformation of mythologic characters and Greek Mythology perfectly, is the inspire of British Composer Edward Benjamin Britten (1913?1976). He composed of ?Six Metamorphoses After Ovid? which tells six mythologic character for solo oboe.In June 14, 1951 Britten tells us the mythologic characters of Pan, Phaeton, Niobe, Bacchus, Narcissus and Arethusa in his work of ?Metamorphoses? which is performed for the Aldeburg Festival. In this work he ells us the story of, Pan, The God of countryside and shepherds, who makes a flute in order to reach his love, The fine arts God of Apollon?s son of Phaeton, who wants manage sun for a single day, Niobe who wants to transform himself to the rock, The God of wine Bacchus for him, some festivals arranged, Narcissus who avoid from love and punished by Gods and transformed to the flower of Narcissus, Arethusa transformed to the underground source when avoiding the Lake-God of named Alpheus with the notes.In this work there are some solutions to consider and to perform the product. In the first chapter, there is a book which Britten inspired and the poet of that book. In the second chapter there are definition of ?Solutions? and the solutions of the chapters of work. In addition to these, some quotations from the ?Metamorphoses? of Ovidus. In the third chapter there exist some form solutions and the examples and recommendations for oboists in order to perform that work.
