War and woman in the plays Bertolt Brecht's Senora Carrar's rifles and Nezihe Araz's tired women of war

Our study is based on the method of comparative literature, in which we examine women and war subjects in the works of Bertolt Brecht, who is one of the pioneers of German literature and the founder of the epic theater and in the works of Nezihe Araz, who writes about the issue of women in Turkish Theater and whose works have been translated into different languages by the Ministry of Culture. In this study, similarities between Brecht's Señora Carrar's Rifles and Araz's Tired Women of War plays were discussed on the basis of 'common motif' and 'common subject', and the differences are presented under the comparison method. The plays based on the historical background of the Spanish Civil War and Bosnian War were interpreted in the context of feminist analysis by interpreting through the woman subject. In this study, it is aimed to explain the reasons why women are assigned to social gender even in war. The scope of the study is limited in terms of the role of plays in the literature and their researchability in the aspects of the war and the women. In the study, which we determined that the social role of women in the war was not changed from the past to the present in the society, we came to the conclusion that the aim of both writers is that the artist has the responsibility to change the point of view of society, when they produced works on the theme of war and women.
