Abstract (EN)

Aggregate constitutes approximately 70-75% of the concrete or mortars commonly used in the construction industry. Recycled Aggregate (RA) reduces costs by reducing natural raw material consumption, environmental pollution and energy use. Recycled Concrete Waste (RCW) and Recycled Asphalt Waste (RAW) are used in concrete or mortars by replacing aggregate in certain proportions. In this study, the mechanical and physical properties of Colemanite (C) added mortars containing RCW and RAW were investigated. CEM I 42.5/R type Portland Cement was used as the binder in the mortar samples produced for the experimental studies, and 0-4 mm crushed sand, RCW and RAW were used as the aggregate. Crushed sand, RCW and RAW at the ratios of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by weight, and C at the ratios of 1%, 2% and 3% by weight, were included in the mixture by replacing cement. Flexure and compressive strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity, water absorption, porosity and electrical resistivity experiments were performed on the samples produced in the dimensions of 40x40x160mm on the 7th, 28th and 90th days. The samples produced in 71x71x71mm dimensions were subjected to abrasion tests on the 28th and 90th days. It was found that the samples containing RAW had lower porosity and water absorption percentages than the samples containing RCW, and the ultrasound transmission rate values decreased with the use of RCW and RAW compared to the C0 (reference) sample. It was determined that the bending strength decreased by 45% and the compressive strength by 25%
