Earthquake, which is the type of natural disaster in which living beings are most affected and life security is shaken throughout world history has been one of the most important issues that need to be taken precautions during humanity and world history. Unfortunately, the earthquake in our country has become one of the important issues after the loss of the Marmara earthquake in 1999. If the borders of Turkey will be considered to be a large portion of the fault line, the measures taken against earthquakes, one of the country's most important issues in today's world has already become. In this study; TDY2007, which was repealed in recent months, and the strengthening chapters of the earthquake regulation, whose work was completed in 2018, has been examined. Altered or no longer used parameters as well as newly added definitions were also mentioned.Differences in calculation methods, changing earthquake map, redefinition of building elevation classes and differences in the required soil parameters in the calculations to be used for reinforcement were investigated. In this study, which focuses on strengthening the maximum level of building security, positive and negative aspects were compared.
