Abstract (EN)
Modeling and numerical analysis methods for shear walls and steel-concrete composite structures are examined and performance-based approaches are investigated. Finally, a case study is perfomed. A three-dimensional (3D) steel-concrete composite building with reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls is analyzed and results are discussed. Target displacement of the buildig, which is the limit displacement of the structure under the applied earthquake loads, is determined due to nonlinear static (pushover) analysis results in terms of EN-1994. Additionally, maximum absoulute displacement of the structure is obtained with nonlinear dynamic (time-history) analysis. Comparison of displacements are performed in order to evaluate performance level of the strcuture.
