Analysis of computer based MRPII and its required database structure

ABSTRACT MRPII System is made up of all the planning activities interrelated to each other in a manufacturing business. MRPII is implemented by computer based modular structure. Before implementing on the manufacturing business, MRPII and manufacturing environment must be analyzed and determined whether MRPII meets the needs of the manufacturing business considering the investment for MRPII. One of the purposes of this thesis study is to expose the capabilities of the MRPII, analyzing the modules, relationships between these modules, output of the each module, what does and does not MRPII achieve in a manufacturing business. The another purpose of this thesis study is to analysis the database structure, common and different tables used by modules, relations between tables, record fields and properties of the MRPII database. Therefore this study is also guieded for MRPII software developers.
