The impacts of big data on the transformation of it into learning organizations

In a competitive business environment, the importance of learning for organizations has gradually started to increase. Organizations that want to keep up with the changes in the global sense have started to adopt the concept of learning organization. One of the most important reasons of the changes in today is technology. Therefore, it is necessary to use the advantages of technology while learning. From the big data that organizations have the information they obtain will be useful to them. In this study, the effect of big data on the transformation of enterprises in the IT sector into learning organizations was investigated. The aim of the study, is to examine the perception of IT business employees against learning organization and big data and the contribution of big data, to the transformation of IT enterprises into learning organizations. Qualitative research method was used in the study. State (Case Study) Pattern and Holistic Single Case Pattern were used as research design. The case is a corporate technology enterprise located in Düzce, which performs its activities in the field of informatics. Data were obtained through interview and document review techniques. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the findings analyzed, it was found out that the IT business is a learning organization and it has been determined that it performs its activities more efficiently and effectively by making use of big data in this process.
