Abstract (EN)

This experiment was carried out in Agricultural Faculty of Bingöl University in 2016 summer growing season. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications with 11 chickpea cultivars obtained from the Agricultural Research Institutes located in different regions of Turkey. Theobjective of this study was to determine the yield and quality performances of some chickpea cultivars, under Bingol conditions. Data were collected on some agronomic characteristics such as, plant height, first pod height, number of main branch, number of pod in a plant, number of grain in a plant, 100 kernel weight, number of plants in m2 , yield plant, biological yield, grain yield, harvest index, time to flowering and protein ratio. The characteristics observed in the experiment varied among 30.3-42.3 cm inplant height, 14.0-28.2 cm in first pod height, 2.3-3.6 cm in number of main branch, 9.0-16.0 in number of pods per plant, 8.2-17.0 in number of grain a plant, 31.5-37.1 g in 100 kernel weight, 8.3-12 in number of plants m2, 3.2-7.8 g in yield plant, 110.4-168.5 kg/da in yield biological, 26.2-85.2 kg/da in grain yield, 20.5-45.2% in harvest index, 44.6-66.6 in days time to flowering and 16.6-22.1% in protein ratio. The highest yielding cultivar Işık-05 with yield of 168.5 kg/da among the cultivars had 34.6 cm of plant height, 19.6 cm of first pod height, 3.0 of number of main brunch, 16.0 of number of pods per plant, 14.5 of number of grain a plant, 37.1 g of 100 kernel weight, 10.5 number of plants in m2, 7.8 g of yield plant, 168.5 kg/da of yield biological, 85.2 kg/da grain yield, 45.3% of harvest index, 45.3 days in time to flowering and 21.9% protein ratio.
