Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the levels of psychological resilience and happiness among students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bingöl University and to examine the relationship between these two constructs in the context of various demographic variables. A descriptive survey model was employed in the research. The data were collected using a personal information form, the Brief Resilience Scale, and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire – Short Form. The study sample consisted of 384 students enrolled in the departments of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Sports Management, and Recreation. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 22 software. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson correlation test were utilized in the analysis. The findings indicated that students' levels of psychological resilience and happiness were generally moderate or above. Additionally, significant differences were found between these two constructs and certain demographic variables such as gender, age, department, income level, and physical activity. A positive and significant relationship was also observed between psychological resilience and happiness. These results suggest that an individual's level of psychological resilience may directly influence their level of happiness.
