Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis, social media has been considered as a pressure group, the subject has been examined in depth through various examples, the shares have been presented in figures and analyzed, and then the evaluations on the subject have been conveyed. The thesis consists of six chapters. The research question of this study is "Is social media a pressure group?" has been determined. The research was carried out in order to reveal an in-depth analysis of the subject by simultaneously examining the concept of pressure groups and social media. Although social media is a current concept, it can get ahead of the communities that are sometimes referred to as pressure groups. One of the most important issues today is rapid communication technologies. Since social media emerged thanks to this technology, it makes a great contribution to organizations to take quick actions and develop social sensitivity. At the same time, sharing information that cannot be proven to be true is another dimension of the issue. It has been tried to contribute to the scientific field by sharing the results of the long-term research conducted within the scope of the thesis. During the thesis study, the findings on how social media can be a more useful and effective pressure group are presented to guide future scientific studies.
