Abstract (EN)
In this study, the energy and exergy analysis has been applied to a steam power plant which is power 660 MW at full load. The primary objectives of this study are to analyze the system components separately and to identify and quantify the sites having largest energy and exergy losses also the useful power, reversible power and irreversibility are obtained for each component which constitutes the plant. In addition, second law efficiency which belongs to system components and overall has been computed. At the same time, yields of previously calculated different type steam power plants were compared. According to the calculations, exergy losses are mainly occurred in boiler and that energy losses mainly occured in the condenser. According to these results, exergy analysis is more significant compared to energy analysis. In case of exergy losses are reduced, power plant efficiency positively affected. The overall efficiency of the thermal power plant increases depending on the boiler pressure.
