A democracy and freedom fighter: Sadik Aldogan

While there were changes in World politics in 1945, Turkey was under the influence of these changes. The political course of Turkey, which has passerd into multi-party political life with the affect of the changes, has also changed and a new party called the Democrat Party has been establighed. Those who were against the CHP, which was the ruling party at that time, joined the Democrat Party. Sadık Aldoğan was are of the people who joined politics in the ranks of the DP after leaury the militory profession. Aldoğan who showed success in the wars during the National Struggle, also made a name for herself in political life. The aim of this study is to reveal the efforts of General Sadık Aldoğan who witnessed the troubles experienceced during there the establishment of Turkey, took part in the wars for Turkey's independence, and later brought his struggle to politics, for the sake of democracy and freedom. In this study, Aldoğan's services in military life, his discourses and his contributions to Turkish political life have been tried to be analyzed in a general framework. At the same time, it allowed us to obtain information about the political, social, cultural and economic events seen at that time.
