vAPPLICATION OF REACTIVE ORANGE 86, DICHLOROTRIAZINE DYE,TO CELLULOSIC FIBRE(M.Sc. Thesis)Pelin FİDANOĞLUGAZİ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTTextile dye production which has very important position at the cotton textilesector is very inconsiderable in our country. For this aim, reactive orange 86was synthesized, with the scope of DPT project, which is the important part ofreactive dyes. Purification of dichlorotriazine dye was studied with thin layerchromatography and 1H NMR MS, UV, IR spectrums and fluorescenceproperty was studied for the characterization. At the application ofdichlorotriazine reactive dye to cellulosic fiber, exhaust dying method was usedand different parameters was studied and the optimum parameter was foundas 70 0C. Washing, friction, light and color fastness tests were done andexpected good results were obtained.
