Abstract (EN)

Objective: This study has been carried out to investigate the relationship between obesity and quality of life levels and some biochemical values ​​of blood in adult patients applied to Elazığ Training and Research Hospital for loss of weight. Material and Method: The sample of the research; 416 patients who applied to Training and Research Hospital Dietitian Polyclinic were interviewed face to face.A questionnaire was used to inquire general information. Biochemical parameters of the individuals were obtained from hospital results. The relationship between obesity status, quality of life and biochemical parameters were analyzed. Findings: 91.8% of the participants were female. 77.0% of the participants were in the 25-54 age group and the average age was 40.55 ± 12.43. 63.1% of the group had secondary and lower education level and 36.6% were obese. Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and TSH levels were found to be statistically significant (p <0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between sex and HDL, triglyceride, copper and vitamin D values ​​(p <0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between education level and cholesterol, vitamin B12 and TSH values ​​(p <0.05). The body mass index and the rational dimension, which is the sub-component of the quality of life scale; There was a statistically significant difference between educational status and physical field size (p <0.05). Vitamin D and Triglyceride levels of the participants between physical dimensions; Cholesterol, HDL and Triglyceride levels were negatively correlated with rational dimension (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between obesity and cholesterol, HDL, LDL, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and TSH levels. A significant relationship between gender, education, marital status and some biochemical parameters of obese individuals; has. obese individuals; there is a significant difference between education level and quality of life.
