Abstract (EN)

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is taking place with the the revolutionary innovations in production technologies. Undoubtedly this revolution will lead to many innovations and developments like the revolutions that existed before. The Fourth Industrial Revolution which is in its early stages, has led to many changes even now. Especially with the Internet of Things, autonomous robots and 3D printers, it is obvious that the production methods will undergo a radical change. It is essential for businesses and the countries closely monitor this revolution and implement the innovations brought by the revolution to compete with other businesses and countries. Because the objective of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is to provide full automation, it is possible for costs to fall to the lowest level in history. However, the scenario in which the unemployment rate can reach the largest number in history is also emphasized. In the first part of this thesis, the previous industrial revolutions were discussed and detailed information about their historical development is given. In the second part, devolepments, practices and the plans of countries about the fourth industrial revolution, which is taking place. In the third and last chapter, the results of the application of industry 4.0 in a factory operating in Manisa province were investigated.
