Abstract (EN)
In this study, forced convection heat transfer in a micro channel heat sink was investigated numerically in laminar flow conditions. Parametric studies were perfomed using the commercial CFD program FLUENT for the Reynolds numbers and constant heat fluxes in ranges of 300 and 800, 1,3 and 5,4 kW/m2, respectively. In addition, numerical analyses were performed at heat fluxes of sinusoidal and linearly varying. Besides, it was investigated the effect of the dimensions of the micro channel on the heat transfer from the heat sink. The effects of Reynolds number on the channel height, channel width, fin length and the type of fluids were investigated. Heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, pressure drop, channel outlet and heat sink temperatures were studied in detail. The results of this study were compared with the experimental studies in the literature.Key Words : Convective heat transfer, micro channel, laminar flow, Fluent
