Abstract (EN)

The antiglobalization movement emerged in 1990?s in Western countries and diffused rapidly trough the world. We can see the application of neoliberal politics and it?s effects beyond this emergence. This movement existed before 1990?s but it became familiar with the protest in Seattle/USA in November of 1999. The movement consists of the protests against international organizations and the social forum period which is organized in both global and local levels. All the same, the movement consists different groups. Some of these groups are women rights defenders, gays and lesbians, animal rights defenders, environmentalists, peasants without land, political parties and trade unions. The antiglobalization movement exists in Turkey too. This fact can be explained by the notion of ?transfer?. In this context, we can see the movement in Turkey, by the effects of globalization and diffusion processes in general, the transfer of experiences of the people who had joined the protests and meetings abroad and the translations of some articles in particular. The repertoire of action of this movement is not totaly different from the social movements of past. But today, by the development of technology, it uses the internet and media more often. In the antiglobalization movement of vii Turkey, we can see the repertoire of action is almost similar with the movement abroad.
