ASSESSING SPEECH AND LANGUAGE SERVICES IN AUNIVERSITY CENTER: CLIENT SATISFACTIONABSTRACTThe aim of the study to describe the factors which influence the satisfaction of theclients with the speech and language disorders in a university center (D LKOM).In the research, a descriptive pattern was designed and 89 clients constituted thesample group. The clients were assessed by Patient-Satisfaction Questionnaire-(Chapey, 1977).In the research, clients? total level of total satisfaction related to sub-factors; theitems in which the patients' satisfaction levels are high, low and unstable; whetherthe patients' satisfaction levels vary according to the variables such as gender,education level, age, the diagnosis of their speech and language disorder; therelated social security institutions and the correlation among the sub-factors of thesatisfaction questionnaire were taken into consideration.As a result, it has been found that the clients' satisfaction levels are high and theselevels do not differ significantly regarding their gender, education level, age, thediagnosis of speech and language disorder and the related social securityinstitution. In addition, a significant and positive correlation has been determinedamong the scale's sub-factors.Key Words: speech and language services, client satisfaction, patient satisfaction
