Abstract (EN)
Dream, being a different way of thinking not only offers an attractive production area for fictitious world but also contributes to the togetherness of two disciplines; literature and psychology. Starting from this point, dream phenomena is found appropriate for a study of comparative literature. The road map of this work is determined as searching dream as a literature chronotope from the triangle of literature art artist. The study also offers a key to the question of Does dream carry the artist in his/her real life to the rather painful process of creation and help out by being a chronotope?? Along with the study of Bakhtin?s chronotope concept during the process, the dreams are endeavoured to be placed into chronotopes that are later to be searched across literary and non-literary elements. Results enable to state that the perception of dream during that period shows resemblance to the use of dream in narratives. The main motive of this study, The Other For Each Other: Dream and Literature - Dream As a Chronotope In Real Life and Literature, is to show that dream always tackels with reality and the transformation of the parallel universe of gods to the inner universe of the being, by using: The Iliad Agamemnon's Dream; Masnavi The Man Who Dreamed of A Hidden Treasure; Tales of 1001 Nights Love of Zeynül-i Muvasıf; Bergmans film - Wild Strawberries and The Atlas of Misty Continents (İhsan Oktay Anar: Puslu Kıtalar Atlası) as leverages.
