Individual retirement system: The development and evaluation in Turkey

Abstract (EN)

The individual retirement system has been fast developed in many countries and it attracts people day by day. The basic goal of this study is to determine the development and the evaluation of the individual retirement system of Turkey after 2003. To reach this goal the study has been prepared with the literature review and the published data of the Pension Monitoring Center have been researched. The results of this survey showed that the individual retirement system has been positive developed after its start date. The most important result of this study is the 25 percent state subsidy has also increased the attention and the interest of the society after 2013. Another result showed that to evaluate and to compare the development of individual retirement system of Turkey should be divided into two periods before the state subsidy and after it. The results of the Pension Monitoring Center and the information of the literature have been accepted as true, and these can be shown as the limitedness of this study.
