Abstract (EN)
The environmental challenges posed by the aviation industry are exacerbated by the sector's recent rapid growth, placing increased pressure on the sustainability of airports. Airport sustainability necessitates a comprehensive approach encompassing economic, social, environmental, and operational considerations. In this context, the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SKHs) and the 2030 Agenda provide a roadmap for the aviation industry. Despite acknowledging the significance of the SKHs, aviation authorities and airports continue to encounter challenges in effectively integrating these goals into their activities and annual reporting. To ensure sustainability, airports must holistically address all 17 SKHs in economic, social, and environmental terms. This study assesses the value of SKHs for airports and employs Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods to prioritize the importance of the 17 SKHs in terms of airport sustainability. The research employs the Step- wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) method.
